Mindfulness Challenge 2018 in Oshawa

Your Healthy Workplace Committee (HWC) invites you to participate in Mindfulness Challenge 2018 on Sunday, November 25. The goal of this four-hour meditate-athon fundraiser is to help make mindfulness-based mental health services available to everyone.

This event is hosted in partnership with The Centre for Mindfulness Studies. The program will be live-streamed from Daniels Spectrum.

This year’s theme is Resilient Self, Resilient Communities.

  • Learn how mindfulness can help you adapt to events in your life, bounce back from difficulty, and learn, grow and thrive.
  • Participate in a variety of guided mindfulness practices led by experts.
  • Raise funds for mindfulness therapy to help people living with mental health challenges.

This event is open to everyone—university faculty, staff, students and community members—even if you have never practised mindfulness or meditation!

  • When: Sunday, November 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (please bring a prepared, ready-to-eat, cold lunch)
  • Where: 61 Charles Street, Room 220
