Criteria for Selection Advisory Committee

Winners of the UOIT Team Award are selected by the President's Advisory Selection Committee. The selection committee will be administered according to the following criteria:

1. A new committee will be selected on an annual basis following the close of nominations. 
2. An email will be sent to all UOIT staff in early August seeking members for the committee.
3. Representation on the committee will be selected from each employee group on a first-come, first-served basis, following the email communication sent in August.
4. In order to avoid a conflict of interest, nominators and nominees are not eligible to participate on the committee.
5. The selection committee will be chaired by a representative from Human Resources and comprised of representatives from the Administrative/Technical, Professional/Manager, senior administration, and academic employee groups.
6. No committee member will be permitted to participate on the committee for two consecutive years (excluding Human Resources Committee Chair).
7. The Advisory Selection Committee will select one winning team, subject to approval by the President.
